Authentic South Indian Event Decor
A showcase of my most requested setups, from handmade coconut leaf structures to fresh floral details for your family's big moments.
I specialize in creating grand, traditional 'Chapra' canopies for housewarmings and weddings. This entrance is built with handwoven coconut leaves and decorated with fresh marigold garlands to give your guests an authentic and warm welcome.
A complete setup for a 'Thottil Habba' or naming ceremony. The cradle is wrapped in pink and yellow flowers, set against a traditional backdrop of woven coconut leaves and hanging floral strings, creating a perfect focal point for the event.
This is an elaborate 'Seemantham' or baby shower stage I designed. It features a special seat for the mother-to-be, a backdrop with floral bird motifs, and a beautiful display of traditional sweets, fruits, and gifts.
A look at how I decorate a home's pooja room for a special occasion. The wooden temple structure is adorned with delicate jasmine and rose garlands, creating a serene and divine atmosphere for your prayers and rituals.
Here you can see the fine details of my work. Fresh flowers and jasmine buds are carefully arranged on deity statues, set against a backdrop of intricately woven fresh green coconut leaves for an authentic, natural look.
An auspicious and welcoming floral decoration for a main door. This design uses strings of jasmine and yellow chrysanthemums, with lotus buds, to create a beautiful 'Toran' that is perfect for a housewarming or festival.
About Featured
Fresh flowers and handmade coconut leaf weaves are the core of my work, and they need to be handled carefully to keep them looking lively until your function ends. For every setup, I prioritize the structural side, using bamboo for outdoor canopies and secure mounts for floral garlands, so everything stays perfectly in place while you host your family.
Authenticity is what makes these events feel special. I specialize in the traditional 'Chapra' canopy style, which requires building a bamboo frame from scratch and covering it with handwoven coconut leaves. This is not a prefab setup. It is constructed on-site to fit the specific dimensions of your home entrance or hall, ensuring it looks robust and feels welcoming.
My approach to floral decor is strictly based on what is fresh and in season. I use high-density layering of local jasmine, chrysanthemum, and roses. Whether it is a traditional housewarming (Gruhapravesam) or a naming ceremony (Thottil Habba), I don’t believe in empty spaces. I fill the gaps with foliage and traditional Torans to create a lush, full look that works well in photographs and in person.
Practicality is just as important as the aesthetics. For naming ceremonies, the cradle needs to be safe, stable, and easily accessible. For Seemantham functions, the stage has to accommodate the seating requirements and the display of fruit trays without feeling cluttered. I work with a 4 to 6 member team to ensure we are off-site and out of your way well before your guests arrive, leaving behind only the decor. If you are planning an event in Bengaluru, I bring all the materials, lights, and props, taking the entire setup process off your hands.
