Lighting is everything in studio work. Whether we are using high-contrast dramatic setups or soft, balanced light, I ensure we get the texture of your outfit and the clarity of your expression right. I often use tethered shooting so we can review the raw files together on screen, adjusting your pose or our lighting ratio in real time to get that precise, commercial-grade look.
My Approach to Studio Lighting
I view the studio as a controlled space where we can construct an image from the ground up. I work with advanced lighting setups—including Butterfly and Rembrandt lighting—to highlight facial structure and create depth. For editorial work, I frequently experiment with colored gels and custom backdrops to create a specific narrative feel for the shoot.
The Collaborative Process
A great portrait relies on more than just the camera. I collaborate with a team of professional stylists, makeup artists, and hair stylists for every project. This ensures that the wardrobe, grooming, and styling align with the final aesthetic we want to achieve. If you have a specific reference or mood board in mind, we review it before the shoot to align our vision.
Technical Specs
I offer both half-day and full-day sessions depending on the scale of your project. Each session includes:
- Professional lighting and background setup.
- High-resolution, retouched final images.
- Professional color grading and skin-texture retention.
- Tethered shooting on campaign days for real-time creative review.
Whether you need an actor portfolio for casting calls or a campaign for a fashion brand, my goal is the same: images that are technically perfect and carry a distinct, high-end mood. I shoot across Mumbai and Jaipur and am happy to travel for specific commercial requirements.
