On-Location & Lifestyle Portrait Photography
Portraits do not always need a studio. I shoot on location across Mumbai and Jaipur, using natural light and architectural character to build a more authentic, cinematic look for your portfolio or brand campaign.
A behind the scenes look at my process during a portrait session with actor Varun Mitra. This shows how I work with talent on-location to find the best natural light and capture authentic moments.
This portrait of actor Varun Mitra was captured using the soft, natural light from a large window in his home. This setting creates an honest and relaxed feel, perfect for an actor's portfolio.
A pensive moment from the same session with Varun Mitra. The natural light and simple setting keep the focus entirely on his expression.
A straightforward, seated portrait that feels both casual and professional. This type of shot is essential for a versatile acting portfolio.
Another angle from the at-home session, this shot captures a thoughtful, off-camera gaze, adding a different mood to the series.
An on-location shoot with Niyati Fatnani on the streets of Bandra, Mumbai. This wide shot uses the urban environment and a church in the background to create a sense of place.
Using the lines of the building and alleyway, this shot creates a strong, graphic composition for a street-style fashion portrait.
A classic crosswalk shot that captures movement and a candid, in-the-moment feel, perfect for a lifestyle or fashion blog.

About On-Location & Lifestyle
When we shoot on location, my job is to manage the environment, not just the camera. Whether it is finding the right street corner in Bandra or using natural window light in a home setting, I account for traffic, changing weather, and shifting light hours before we even hit the shutter. You do not have to worry about the logistics or the crowd; I handle the flow so you can focus on the performance.
Why On-Location Matters
Moving a shoot out of the studio creates a narrative that a plain background cannot replicate. Whether we are utilizing the chaotic energy of Mumbai streets or the controlled comfort of a private home, the environment becomes a character in the image.
My Approach to Location Shoots
- Lighting Control: I do not rely solely on ambient light. I bring support gear to shape natural light, ensuring your face is lit properly while keeping the background context intact. If we are shooting during the golden hour, I plan our timeline to catch those specific shifts.
- Logistics & Planning: Location shoots come with variables—crowds, permits, and changing weather. I manage the planning phase to minimize these risks so the actual session remains focused on the creative output.
- Team Coordination: A successful location shoot is a production. I bring in professional hair and makeup artists and stylists who understand how to prep for outdoor conditions. If you do not have a team, I can connect you with my network of trusted professionals.
Which Package Fits?
- Actor Portfolio (Half-Day): Ideal for capturing 4 distinct looks. We can mix indoor studio time with a nearby outdoor location to show range.
- Editorial Campaign (Full-Day): Necessary for complex concepts requiring multiple locations, lighting setups, and wardrobe changes. This includes tethered shooting so we can review every frame in real-time on-set.
