About The Art of Fabrication: Behind the Scenes
When we build a pergola or staircase, the finish depends on how we prep the raw mild steel. We start by laser-measuring your site for a flush fit and then ensure every weld is ground down until it is smooth to the touch. This does not just make it safer to use, it prevents water from pooling at the joints, which is the main cause of long-term rust.
Our process starts well before we touch a welding machine. We begin with a site visit to assess your layout and load-bearing requirements. We then provide a 3D visualization, which helps us finalize the placement of rafters and pillars. We prioritize heavy-duty mild steel (usually 12 or 14 gauge) from reliable sources like Apollo sections to ensure structural integrity against wind and weather.
Welding and finishing are where we differentiate our work. We use an anti-rust red oxide primer followed by two coats of exterior-grade enamel or PU paint. Whether it is a commercial pergola project or a private terrace makeover, we focus on the foundation. We use industrial-grade fasteners to anchor structures into concrete slabs, ensuring zero bounce and maximum stability. Our team is trained to handle high-beam installations safely, maintaining precision even in complex setups. This dedication to the build stage ensures your structure is not just a temporary addition, but a long-term improvement for your property.
