The Art of Fabrication: Behind Our Process
A look at the precision and technical standards behind our fabrication work. From raw steel selection to the final weather-resistant finish, see how we build for durability.
Quality starts with the right foundation. This clip shows the core of my process: using premium-grade, engineered steel, performing precision welding to build a lasting frame, and applying a weather-resistant coating for a flawless, luxury finish.
This video shows the completion of a pergola framework. You can see my team's quality workmanship in the precisely crafted and installed structure, which is now strong, secure, and ready for the roofing material.
A close-up look at the painting process. My team is applying a premium finish to the steel framework, ensuring every inch is coated for maximum durability and a smooth, professional appearance.
Here, the framework for a new roofing structure is in progress on a city rooftop. My team works diligently to assemble the hand-welded steel components, ensuring the foundation is strong and perfectly aligned.
This is the structural work for a hip roofing project underway. It highlights the heavy-duty cutting, grinding, and welding involved in creating the foundational frame that will support the entire roof.
Craftsmanship is in every detail, down to the final coat of paint. This video shows the meticulous process of painting the steel beams and allowing them to dry properly to achieve a strong, durable finish for a toughened glass pergola.
The painting work for this pergola frame has been successfully completed. The clean lines and uniform coating on the steel structure demonstrate the attention to detail that ensures a long-lasting and aesthetically pleasing result.
Every project starts with quality materials and a clear plan. This video shows day one on site, with the arrival of the raw steel and my team getting ready to begin the fabrication and assembly process.
About The Art of Fabrication: Our Process
We don't just weld steel and call it a day. The longevity of your pergola or structure depends entirely on the coating process. I insist on a two-coat, weather-resistant synthetic enamel paint system applied over a high-grade red oxide primer. This specific multi-step finish is what prevents rust from creeping in during the monsoon season, ensuring your structure stays as sturdy in its fifth year as it was on day one.
Engineering Your Structure
Every project begins with a site visit to assess dimensions and, more importantly, structural load. Whether you are planning a heavy-duty Mangalore tile roof or a sleek toughened glass pergola, I provide a 3D structural layout before any fabrication begins. This allows us to map out the exact steel grid density needed to support the weight of the roofing material and withstand local wind loads.
Material Selection and Welding
I use only 1.5mm to 2mm thick mild steel hollow sections. We avoid standard shortcuts like skipping joint grinding. Every welded intersection is ground smooth to provide a clean, architectural line and to ensure there are no jagged edges that could catch moisture or lead to early corrosion. Our welding is continuous, not spot-welded, which is critical for maintaining structural integrity over the lifespan of the frame.
Precision Installation
Installation is where the quality of the fabrication team shows. We use heavy-duty anchor fasteners to secure base plates into concrete, preventing any swaying or deflection. For glass roofing, we use EPDM rubber gaskets and industrial-grade silicone to ensure the panels are cushioned against metal friction and sealed against water leaks. After installation, we perform a complete site cleanup, removing all metal dust and packaging so you are left with a finished space, not a construction site.
