About Interior Design
More Than Just Decor
For me, interiors are never just about filling up a space. Every project is a mix of art, what you love, and how you actually live or work. I like to think of every home or business as a place that feels alive, where the vibe matches your story.
What Matters Most
- Sustainability isn’t a buzzword for us - we really do believe in reusing what’s already there. I’ve turned old aircraft wreckage into funky bars, and shipping containers into cool hangouts.
- Nature is always part of the plan. Big windows, floating roofs, indoor water features - all of it to make you feel like the outside is always just a step away.
- I’m a sucker for raw materials. Expect exposed concrete, hand-plastered walls, natural stone, wood everywhere. Each material has its own quirks and stories.
- Love art and craft? Me too. I like to bring in local artists, handmade pieces, and your own art collection to keep things personal.
For Homes & Businesses
- Want cultural fusion? I’ve mixed Moroccan and Indian styles before – think hand-plastered patterns on the walls, a touch of old-school, a bit of now.
- Into minimal, nature-inspired spaces? I’ve done homes with floating roofs, glass walls, even used real leaves to imprint on concrete.
- Love history? Old
acchukal(brick walls) and arches get a new life, not demolished. - For businesses, I’m all about creating a vibe. Whether it’s a bar with airplane parts or a brewery that feels like a community, I go for memorable, warm, and always a bit unexpected.
- Resorts and retreats get extra love with local materials,
jaalis(lattice screens), and spaces that really breathe.
No two spaces end up looking the same. Each one’s got its own quirks, just like the people in it.

My Story
We’re Mistry Architects, but friends call us ‘Thugs of Mistry’s’—a name Sharukh, our late founder, tossed around with love and laughter. Our studio’s a wild mix of art, nature, and pure team energy. We’re big on celebrations, be it Dasara or random road trips. For us, it’s about building spaces where you feel the earth and the people—sometimes messy, always full of heart.
My Work
What We Do - We design homes, schools, hotels, interiors, and take on conservation and socially relevant architecture.
Nature-Centric Design - Our buildings vibe with local flora, rewilded living spaces, and keep the landscape breathing.
Handmade & Local Materials - We love exposed concrete, achukal brick, and handmade vernacular details that show off craft.
Art, Function & Bio-Inspiration - Design, art, and bio-inspired ideas mix together—spaces aren’t just useful, but a bit magical too.
Old Meets New - We blend existing structures with fresh ideas; drama and learning come from weaving stories together.
