Hospitality & Retreats Architecture

We build spaces that do not just house guests—they hold them. Our hospitality designs weave architecture into the forest, the coast, and the hillside, ensuring every view and breeze is part of the story.

An outdoor amphitheater and fire pit at our coffee estate resort provide a natural gathering space for community events, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the forest.

The resort's reception area features local stone walls and circular skylights, celebrating natural materials and allowing sunlight to animate the interior throughout the day.

A custom-cut wooden bar top and a playful seal sculpture add an artistic, handcrafted touch to the resort's lounge, reflecting the unique culture of the region.

The dining hall features a high, tiled roof and large louvered windows, promoting natural ventilation and offering diners uninterrupted views of the lush landscape.

This video tour showcases how the resort's various structures, pools, and pathways are woven into the existing topography of the coffee estate.

These coastal villas are nestled within an oasis of palm trees, with thatched roofs and natural materials that harmonize with the tropical beach environment.

A freeform swimming pool serves as the central heart of the coastal resort, surrounded by individual villas that offer both privacy and a sense of community.

About this collection

When designing for hospitality, we don't just map out rooms; we trace the site's natural rhythms. Whether you are transforming a coffee estate or building coastal villas, our focus is on minimizing structural intrusion. We prioritize passive cooling, local material sourcing, and creating seamless indoor-outdoor transitions that turn a stay into an immersive experience.

Designing with the Landscape

For us, a resort isn't a structure sitting on land; it is a structure born from it. We treat every master plan as a conversation with the existing topography. At Elan Hills in Kumily, we worked with the winding contours of the hill rather than fighting them, resulting in paths that feel natural to walk and structures that nestle into the greenery. This approach saves trees, preserves rocks, and ultimately saves costs on heavy excavation.

Creating Atmosphere Through Materiality

Hospitality is about how a space makes a guest feel. We use tactile, honest materials—like exposed concrete, local stone, and wood—to build character that feels grounded. In our coastal projects, we use tensile structures to provide shade without blocking the sky, allowing the sea breeze to flow freely. We don't hide the building systems; we celebrate them. A well-placed skylight isn't just a window; it's a way to let the sun animate your lobby throughout the day.

The Operational Flow

Beyond aesthetics, we understand that resorts have to function. We meticulously plan circulation, ensuring guest zones remain private while staff routes are efficient. Whether you are building an intimate boutique hotel or a large-scale coffee estate resort, our design process integrates technical needs—like structural longevity for large spans—with the artistic vision that makes a property a destination in its own right.
