Step inside my studio. It is messy, real, and where all my heART work happens. Take a look at the journey from blank canvas to finished piece.

A little montage of me in my studio, working on the Hearts Collection. You can see me mixing paints, applying base coats, and painting a heart. This is my happy place.

This video captures the essence of my process. It starts with the messy palette, shows me in the act of painting, and ends with the finished piece. For me, art is a language without words.

These are the peaceful moments, when I'm completely in the zone, just flowing with the paint. The light was beautiful this day. This is the restful silence on the inside that I cherish.

Here I am, working on a black and white heart with a palette knife. This is where the texture is born. It's a process of building up and scraping away, a reflection of my own inner work.

A duplicate shot of me working on the black and white heart. The newspaper-covered surface is a staple in my studio.

My messy workspace. This is the beautiful chaos from which art is born. You can see the finished black and white heart resting amidst the splatters and leftover paint.

Another view of my studio table, a testament to the creative process. Every splatter tells a story of a piece that was made here.

A glimpse of my tools: brushes, palette, and paints, with my easel in the foreground. This is my sanctuary, the place where I turn feelings into visual art.

This video is a visual journey through my Hearts Collection. It shows the variety of styles and colors, from fluid art to textured pieces. It’s a quick look at how I interpret love through my art.

About Behind the Art: My Creative Process

People often ask if I get stressed with the mess. Honestly, the paint splatters and the newspaper covered table are my sanctuary. It is here, amidst the chaos, that the texture of my hearts takes shape. Whether it is a fluid pour or an impasto piece, the process is about letting go of perfection and trusting the flow.

My studio is not a pristine gallery. It is a laboratory of emotions. When I start a painting, I do not always have a strict plan. For the textured hearts, it is physical. I use palette knives to build up layers, scraping and layering until the piece feels right. That tactile process, the back and forth between applying paint and taking it away, is where the real work happens.

Then there is the fluid art. That is a different beast. It is about chemistry and timing. When I pour the acrylics, I am looking for cells and interactions that I can guide but not fully control. It is a lesson in surrender, much like the radical responsibility I try to practice in life.

Whether I am working on a commission or teaching a workshop, the goal is the same: to get you out of your head and into the flow. If you ever visit my studio or join a workshop, you will see it is all about being present. My work is finished when it stops being a project and starts feeling like a companion.
