About Signature Black & White
When I shoot in black and white, I am not just turning the saturation down. I am looking for contrast in the way light hits a veil or the texture of a lace gown. By removing color, your focus shifts entirely to the real emotion in a glance or the texture of the setting, making these frames feel more like a permanent piece of history than just a digital file.
Wedding days are filled with vibrant colours, but sometimes that busyness hides the heart of the moment. My black and white process is intentional. I select shots where the composition, geometry, and light tell the story better than a full-colour image ever could.
How I Use Monochrome
- Getting Ready: I use high-contrast monochrome to emphasize the quiet anticipation, the way a dupatta falls, or a tear running down a cheek. It brings a cinematic quality to the quiet moments before the main event.
- Portraits: By removing the distraction of bright floral backgrounds or venue décor, we keep the focus on you and your partner. It creates a timeless aesthetic that will not look dated twenty years from now.
- Ceremonies & Reception: On a busy dance floor or during a solemn church vow, black and white allows me to isolate a specific reaction—a laugh, a subtle touch, or an embrace—that might get lost in a cluttered, colourful scene.
What You Receive
You get a mix of both. You are not just getting your wedding photos; you are getting a structured narrative where the monochrome images provide the emotional depth and the colour images capture the vibrancy of the day. Whether it is a beach wedding in Goa or a church ceremony in Mumbai, this signature look is about keeping the focus on the people, not the surroundings.
