About Behind the Scenes: The Artistic Process
The magic happens in the details, like the steady pressure I maintain with my 0.38mm fine-tip cone to create those sharp, traditional motifs. Whether I am sketching a proposal scene or adding hidden initials, I stay focused on building the design layer by layer, ensuring the henna paste is perfectly consistent for that rich, long-lasting stain you love.
Mehendi is a practice of patience. When you see me working, you will notice I take my time because I believe each line matters. I only use 100% natural, triple-sifted Sojat henna powder mixed with essential oils, which is why my designs develop such a deep maroon color.
For my full bridal projects, which can take anywhere from 5 to 7 hours, I focus on the flow of the design. Whether I am sketching intricate peacock motifs or carving out space for a groom's name, the goal is balance. I do not just draw, I compose a visual story. If we are doing a portrait or a story-based design, I start with a consultation to understand exactly what elements, like your wedding date or a specific proposal scene, need to be highlighted.
I enjoy the quiet, concentrated moments of the process, often with a cup of tea by my side, just as much as the final reveal. It is this dedication to the craft and the material that allows me to deliver that rich, long-lasting stain every bride dreams of. Whether you are in Kandivali, Vasai, or anywhere in the Mumbai Metropolitan Area, I bring this same level of focus and care to your home.
