About Foundational Designs
Before you try complex bridal portraits, you need to master your cone control. In my beginner sessions, we spend hours getting the pressure right for thick versus thin lines because that determines if your design looks clean or messy. It is not just about drawing a pattern, it is about training your hand to stay steady, which is exactly why I keep my batches to just 3 to 5 students.
My foundational mehendi course is a 7-day program designed for those who want to learn the craft properly, whether you are a hobbyist or someone looking to start a career. We do not skip steps here. We start with the absolute basics, including how to hold the cone for stability and how to mix a smooth paste.
What we cover in 7 days:
- Cone Management: Techniques for stable grip and pressure control.
- Basic Elements: Mastering straight and curvy lines, humps, dots, and teardrops.
- Motifs & Layouts: Introduction to floral elements, paisleys, and simple Arabic trails.
- Filling Patterns: Learning to use negative space with 5 to 7 standard filling techniques.

Most people struggle with uneven lines or designs that look cluttered. By keeping the batch size small at my Dombivli studio, I can watch your hand posture and correct your grip in real-time. You get a practice kit with laminated sheets to build muscle memory before we move to skin.
