Watch students go from drawing simple lines to creating intricate, professional-level mehendi designs. See the progress from my hands-on workshops in Mumbai.

An example of a student's work at the beginning of their journey. We focus on understanding basic shapes and flow before moving on to more complex patterns.

Another early-stage design from a student, showing their initial grasp of applying henna. My classes are designed to build confidence and skill from this exact starting point.

This is a student's practice piece with the henna paste still on. Learning how to fill patterns cleanly and create consistent textures is a core part of my curriculum.

Look at the incredible progress. This intricate hand design, complete with a peacock motif, was created by a student after taking my course, showcasing their newfound skill in detailed work.

A beautiful and balanced design by one of my students. They've successfully combined different elements like floral patterns, paisleys, and a yin-yang symbol, demonstrating their creative confidence.

About Student Transformations

I don't just show you how to draw designs. In my classes, I sit with you to fix your hand posture and cone pressure. This is the difference between shaky lines and the clean, bold patterns you see here. We focus on that grip first, because everything else—the peacocks, the shading, the bridal grids—starts from there.

I teach mehendi because I want to see you gain the confidence to create. My classes in Vakola are not about watching me, they are about doing it yourself. We start with the fundamentals. If you cannot hold the cone right, your lines will never be smooth. I break this down into specific techniques, such as how to angle the cone, how to control the paste flow for thick and thin lines, and how to keep your hand steady for those long bridal sessions.

The curriculum moves from basic elements like paisleys, leaves, and vine connectivity into the complex work. You will learn to construct full compositions, including:

  • Traditional Indian motifs: Peacocks, elephants, and lotus designs.
  • Modern Indo-Arabic flow: How to balance negative space with intricate detailing.
  • Advanced Bridal work: Full limb composition, portraiture, and adding custom elements like initials or skylines.

You do not need to bring anything. I provide a complete student kit including professional henna powder, oils, and practice tools. We practice on acrylic hands and paper sheets before moving to skin, ensuring you have the repetition needed to build muscle memory.

Whether you want a fun hobby or a professional side hustle, my batches are kept small, usually 5 to 8 students, so I can give every person individual feedback. You will see your own progress through the before and after work we do in every session. It is rewarding to see beginners walk in with a shaky hand and walk out with a portfolio they are proud of.
