Hand practice sessions are a crucial part of my course. Here you can see me giving one on one guidance to a student, helping her with her technique. The video ends with the beautiful final result of our practice session.
It's practice time in my class. This video shows several of my students deeply focused on their work, practicing everything from intricate mandalas to full bridal hand layouts on their sketchbooks.
As I always say, practice makes you perfect. This is a glimpse into the hard work and dedication of my students as they practice different bridal mehndi elements, from figures to filler patterns, to perfect their skills.
Here, my students are practicing traditional Indian mehndi designs. They use their phones for reference while I guide them, ensuring they learn the authentic patterns and motifs that are always in demand.
A snapshot of my class in session. You can see students working hard on their drawing pads, with a live demo setup in the center. I create a focused yet comfortable environment for everyone to learn at their own pace.
A short, candid video of two students practicing together. My classes often feel like a creative session with friends, where everyone is learning and growing in a fun, supportive atmosphere.
I understand that many of my students are working women or college students, which is why I offer flexible evening batches. This is a picture of my night batch, full of passionate learners who are dedicated to mastering the art of mehndi.
More scenes from our practice sessions. Each student works on different designs, from simple border patterns to complex full-hand bridal layouts, getting comfortable with a variety of styles.
About In the Classroom: Hands-On Learning
In my studio, we don't just stand around; we sit together on the floor for that traditional, comfortable learning vibe. It is not a lecture-style class where I just talk—I sit right next to you, watching every line you draw, guiding your hand, and making sure your pressure control is perfect before we move to anything complex.
Building Your Foundation
My goal is to make sure you start with the basics. Whether you are a college student or working a full-time job, we begin with the fundamentals: how to mix your own henna, how to roll the perfect cone, and how to master your pressure control. We avoid shortcuts because, in my experience, clear basics make the advanced work much easier to pick up.
From Basics to Bridal Artistry
Once you are comfortable with lines, borders, and traditional motifs like mandalas, we move to the advanced modules. This is where we focus on the intricate stuff: detailed bridal figures, bride-groom portraits, Radha-Krishna designs, and skyline scenes. You will learn how to approach a full-hand bridal layout with proper measurements so it looks professional and balanced.
More Than Just Art
Being a great artist is only half the battle. To help you build a career, my advanced diploma course includes training on how to market yourself. We cover Instagram basics—lighting your work, finding the right angles for reels, and managing client bookings.
Flexible Learning in Mumbai
I know that finding time is the biggest challenge for many women. That is why I offer flexible scheduling, including evening batches, at my studio in Amrut Nagar, Ghatkopar West. My batches are kept small and supportive, so you get the personal attention you need to grow at your own pace. By the end of the course, you will have your certification in hand and the confidence to take on your first client.
