Step inside my Mumbai workshop to see how I turn raw timber into heirloom furniture. Every piece is built from scratch using traditional joinery and seasoned teak.

A stack of curved wooden components, likely for chair arms or backrests, showing the initial stages of production. Each piece is shaped by hand and joined using traditional methods.

Here I am in the workshop, sitting behind a newly crafted live-edge dining table. Behind me are large slabs of solid wood, waiting to be transformed into unique pieces of furniture.

About The Artisan's Workshop

When you visit my workshop in Oshiwara, you will not find assembly lines. You will find seasoned teak slabs, traditional wood joinery, and the distinct scent of fresh sawdust. Every piece, from the curves of a Pierre Jeanneret replica to the grain of a live-edge table, is crafted here by hand. I use high-grade commercial plywood for stability alongside solid wood, ensuring your furniture does not just look good today but stays sturdy for decades.

How Your Furniture Comes Together

I believe the process is just as important as the final product. When you order from me, you are not buying from a catalogue. You are commissioning a piece built specifically for your space.

My Approach to Craftsmanship

  • Material Selection: I primarily work with seasoned teak, but I also use white oak, ash, and reclaimed woods depending on your preference. Each slab is inspected before it enters the workshop.
  • Traditional Joinery: I avoid quick fixes. My team uses time-tested joinery techniques to ensure the frame remains strong, even after years of daily use.
  • Hand-Finished Surfaces: Whether you choose a natural finish, walnut stain, or charcoal black, I apply treatments that highlight the grain rather than masking it.

Transparency from Start to Finish

I provide step-by-step updates as your piece comes together. You will know exactly what is happening in the workshop, from the raw framing stage to the final polish. If you have specific ideas for custom dimensions or unique hardware, I encourage you to share them. My goal is to create furniture with a soul, not just a look. Every piece comes with a five-year warranty against manufacturing defects, so you can be confident it is built to last.
