A Running Mom's Journey: Coaching for Discipline and Grit

Balancing family life with race training is not just about time management. It is about building the discipline to show up. Here is how I combine motherhood and my love for the run to stay consistent in amchi Mumbai.

High-fiving my daughter at a Nike Run event. Every time a mom pursues her passion, her child learns the power of possibility. Homes thrive when moms are strong.

Posing with my daughter after a hilly half marathon. She is my biggest cheerleader and my reason for pushing to be the strongest version of myself.

My daughter holding my prize from the Pune Hill Half Marathon. Sharing these victories with her is the best reward.

A hug from my daughter is more precious than any treasure in the world. Being a running mom is about finding the balance between my passion and my family.

The link that can never be undone. A quiet, happy moment with my daughter. She is my why.

About this collection

Many parents worry that training for a 10K or a half marathon takes too much time away from family, but I find that my training actually makes me more present. I structure plans to work around school runs and busy schedules, using early morning sessions or interval training that keeps intensity high while keeping duration efficient. When we build your plan, we look at how your run fits into your life without forcing you to choose between your personal goals and your home.

I am a firm believer that Prem Swabhav mein hota hai, shabdon mein nahi (Love is in one's nature, not just words). As a mom, showing my daughter what discipline looks like matters more than telling her. My coaching approach for other parents reflects this reality. We avoid the trap of running long distances without purpose. Instead, I focus on high-impact workouts like tempo runs and interval training that deliver results in a fraction of the time.

Training for Busy Schedules

Whether you are prepping for your first marathon or getting back to fitness, we build a calendar that respects your commitments. If you only have 45 minutes, we make that 45 minutes count with speed drills or hill repeats.

Hybrid Support

For those based in Thane or Dombivli, we do in-person track sessions on weekends. This is where we fix your gait, work on explosive power with drills, and correct your posture in real-time.

Building Community

Running is a solo pursuit, but it is better with a pack. I lead women-only runs across Mumbai where we support each other through the hard days. Fitness is a long game, and my goal is to help you build the mental resilience to keep running long after your first race is over.
