About Race Day Wins & Podium Finishes
Crossing the finish line with a personal best takes more than just running miles. In my race strategy sessions, we do not just talk about target times. I help you build a concrete plan for fuel intake, gel timing, and pacing tiers based on your specific goal race course. Most runners lose minutes—and podium spots—by going out too fast in the first 5km or failing to account for hydration in the final stretch. My job is to make sure you start with a strategy and stick to it, not your emotions.
Race day nerves can make or break your performance. I have stood on podiums at the Tata Mumbai Marathon and the Vizag Navy Marathon, and the biggest lesson I have learned is that speed without control is wasted energy. You can have the best aerobic capacity in the world, but without a plan, you are leaving time on the table.
My race strategy coaching is designed to help you execute your training in a high-pressure environment. We work on:
- Pacing Strategy: We calculate your splits based on your current fitness and the specific course profile, including elevation changes and U-turns. No more burning out before the final 10km.
