About Sacred Rhythms: Temple & Processional Melam
When we perform at temple festivals, it isn't just about the music. That Chenda drum weighs 13 kilos, and playing for three hours in the heat while maintaining the complex rhythms of Pandi Melam is pure physical work. We keep that pace high because the energy of the crowd and the sanctity of the procession depend on it.
Our Chendamelam is built on stamina and deep synchronisation. For temple festivals and religious processions, we focus on the raw power of Pandi Melam, where the rhythm builds gradually to a crescendo. It is loud, it is fast, and it is exhausting, but seeing the crowd caught up in that wave of sound makes every drop of sweat worth it.
We have been performing for five years, from local Bangalore temples to large-scale festivals across India. Our troupe size ranges from 7 to 20 artists, depending on the scale of your event. If the venue is large, we recommend our bigger ensemble to ensure the acoustic volume creates that signature wall of sound.
When you book us, you are not just getting a band. You are getting a team of brothers who treat every temple event with the same reverence and intensity. We arrive early, coordinate with the temple committee, and ensure the procession flow is seamless. Whether it is a traditional religious ceremony or a community celebration, we bring the same energy that keeps us going for hours.

We are a gang of brothers tied together by our love for Chenda. Playing this for hours is our passion and our worship, and we bring that same intensity to every temple festival we join.
