Mastering Pace & Spin: The Bowler's Arsenal
Bowling is not just about raw speed. It is about control, variations, and learning to adjust your delivery based on the pitch. At Macho, we teach you to think before you bowl.
A dedicated swing ball session on a grass pitch. Learning to swing the new ball is a game-changing skill, and we provide the right conditions for our bowlers to master it.
Spot bowling is a fundamental drill for any aspiring bowler. By setting a target, we train our bowlers to develop accuracy and control, allowing them to bowl with a clear plan.
About Mastering Pace & Spin: The Bowler's Arsenal
You do not get wickets by bowling fast, you get them by bowling to a plan. We focus on your 'stock' ball first because that is what you will bowl 90 percent of the time. Once you can land that delivery on a specific spot six times in a row, then we add the swing, the cutters, and the bouncers to keep the batter guessing.
Cricket is a game of adjustment. Anyone can teach you to run up and bowl, but learning to read the pitch and the batter is where you gain real experience. We call this 'ghat-ghat ka paani peena' (gaining experience by facing challenges).
In our training sessions at Cross Maidan and our Kurla indoor facility, we drill the basics until they are muscle memory. You will see our bowlers using cones to mark targets, which is the fastest way to develop accuracy. We don't just tell you to bowl; we show you how to set up a field, how to use the breeze to your advantage, and how to stay calm when the batter is hitting you around the ground.
Whether you are an off-spinner learning to turn the ball or a pacer developing your out-swinger, the process is the same. We train with new balls daily to simulate match conditions because we know that match pressure is different from net practice. If you are serious about bowling in the Under-14 to Under-19 age groups, come ready to put in the hours. We do not look for shortcuts, just consistent, hard work.
Macho Cricket Academy
I am Moin, and at Macho Cricket Academy, we treat cricket like a family pursuit. My father, Naushad Khan, brings the wisdom and the discipline, while I focus on the technical adjustments that separate a good bowler from a great one. We do not just coach cricket; we build the mindset you need to handle pressure on the field.
