Aeromodeling & Rocketry Workshops for Kids
From building fighter jets to launching air-powered stomp rockets, we help your child discover the science of flight through hands-on making.
Our fleet of stomp rockets is ready for launch! This is one of our most exciting outdoor activities, where kids learn about air pressure and aerodynamics.
Watch the launch! This video captures the pure fun of our stomp rocketry workshop, where kids send their self-made rockets soaring into the sky.
An outdoor stomp rocketry session in full swing. Kids learn that a good stomp is all it takes to understand the basics of thrust.
A team of young rocketeers takes a break with their creations. Our stomp rocketry outing is a great way to combine hands-on learning with outdoor fun.
This video gives a glimpse into our stomp rocketry workshop, from building the rockets inside to launching them outside. It's a blast from start to finish.
A group of happy campers proudly holding up the fighter jet models they assembled. This is a great project for developing fine motor skills and attention to detail.
This video shows the first step of our fighter jet workshop. Kids carefully punch out the laser cut wooden pieces and begin the assembly process.
About this collection
In our aeromodeling and rocketry sessions, kids move beyond simple kits. They handle laser-cut wooden pieces, sand them to achieve proper lift, and paint their custom fighter jets. This is not just glue and paper; it is an introduction to aerodynamics and mechanical assembly using real tools.
When it comes to rocketry, we focus on the stomp variety. It is a fantastic way to understand air pressure and flight trajectory without needing complex fuel or launch pads. Kids build their own rocket body, learn how to secure the nose cone for stability, and then head outside to see how a quick, firm stomp launches their creation into the air.
For the fighter jets, the process is equally deliberate. We guide them through the assembly of MDF and balsa wood components. They learn why certain wing shapes matter and how balance affects flight. We use kid-friendly hand tools, always with safety goggles and gloves. It is about learning to fix and tweak; if a plane does not glide, they learn to adjust the wings until it does.
We run these sessions in small groups in North Bangalore to ensure everyone gets enough attention from the instructors. Whether you are looking for a Saturday afternoon project or a week-long immersion, the goal remains the same: give your child the tools to build their own ideas.
Little Wings Innovation Labs
I'm Rahul, and along with Daniel, I run Little Wings Innovation Labs. We built this space because we believe kids learn best when they get their hands dirty, break things, and build them back better.
Looking for a different type of project?
We offer workshops ranging from electronics and robotics to woodworking and creative arts.
