Kids don’t just build models here—they engineer, paint, and bring their own creations to life in our North Bangalore maker space.

Watch our young space explorers build and paint their own solar system models. Each child learns about the planets as they carefully paint and assemble their own miniature galaxy to take home.

So many proud faces and unique solar systems! This video showcases the beautiful and varied results from one of our popular astronomy and art workshops.

A classroom full of focused artists, each painting the planets for their solar system model. We provide all the materials and guidance needed for this engaging educational craft.

A young creator puts the finishing touches on his camouflage-themed fighter jet. This activity helps develop fine motor skills and attention to detail.

A wide view of our solar system painting session in full swing. It's a fantastic group activity where kids learn together while working on their individual projects.

An instructor helps students display their completed solar system models. We celebrate every child's work and the effort they put into their creations.

A group of boys proudly holds up their finished solar system projects. It's a great feeling to complete a project from start to finish.

About this collection

These workshops are not just about following instructions; the real magic happens during the painting phase. We provide the laser-cut MDF models and all the tools, but your child makes every design choice, whether they are building a fighter jet, a catapult, or a model solar system. It is a focused, 2.5-hour session where they actually assemble the pieces themselves, ensuring they take home a project they can proudly say they built from scratch.

Engineering Meets Art

At Little Wings, we believe STEM education is most effective when it’s tangible. Our 'Build & Paint' sessions are designed to bridge the gap between mechanical engineering and creative expression. We don't just hand out pre-assembled toys; your child gets to see how things work from the inside out.

What happens in a session

  • The Build: Children start by working with 3mm to 4mm laser-cut MDF sheets. They learn to sand rough edges, align mortise and tenon joints, and install functional parts like axles or rubber bands. It’s a lesson in precision and mechanics, perfect for developing fine motor skills.
  • The Art: Once the mechanical structure is solid, the session shifts to customization. Kids use student-grade acrylic paints to transform their wooden creations—be it a fighter jet, a birdhouse, or a race car—into something uniquely theirs.

Why parents choose us

We maintain small batches with a 1:10 instructor-to-student ratio at our Vidyaranyapura studio. This ensures every child gets the help they need without us taking over the work. We provide all the materials—from paints and brushes to safety scissors and glue. Our goal is to foster the 'I made this' confidence that only comes from finishing a project with your own two hands.

Whether your child is 4 or 12, they will walk out with a fully assembled, painted model and a better understanding of how the world around them is constructed.

I’m Rahul, and I started Little Wings with Daniel because I believe kids learn best when they’re actually using their hands. We’ve traded boring classrooms for a dedicated maker space in Vidyaranyapura where 'breaking' things to learn how they work is part of the fun. Come by, let your kids get a little messy, and see what they can build.
