About Our 'Build, Paint, Play' Craft Kits
You do not need any glue or scissors for these kits. They are pre-cut and flat-packed, designed to slot together easily so the building phase is frustration-free for children as young as three. Once the structure is standing, it becomes a 3D canvas for non-toxic paint, meaning they get to take home a finished toy they actually built from scratch.
A Different Kind of Play
Traditional plastic toys are fun for a moment, but a cardboard creation lasts longer because the child built it themselves. Our Play-Shops move away from passive play, focusing instead on active building and artistic expression. Whether it is a dragon, a unicorn, or a wearable dinosaur head, the process starts with a 15-minute interactive story session that sets the scene for their craft.
The Workshop Process
- The Build: We start with flat-packed, pre-cut corrugated cardboard. The kids slot the pieces together, which helps with fine motor skills and following instructions.
- The Paint: Once the model is assembled, it becomes a blank 3D canvas. We provide non-toxic acrylic paints, sponge dabbers, and brushes.
