An artistic exploration of a 2.5 billion-year-old landscape through binaural sound, immersive film, and deep listening.

A short video introducing the 'Open Invitation' project, the foundation for the 'Across Deep Time' album. It shows our team on location, interacting with the ancient rocks that inspired the work.

The official cover for the binaural sound album 'Across Deep Time'. I was part of the Open Invitation Collective that created this work, focusing on eco-acoustic experiments and immersive soundscapes.

In this video, I personally invite the audience to an immersive sonic and movement event for the 'Across Deep Time' album. It shows my role in not just creating the work, but also sharing it with the community.

About 'Across Deep Time': A Sonic Journey

What you see here is a year-long dialogue between sound and geology. We didn't just record the wind and the rocks; we learned how to listen to them. This project, Across Deep Time, is the heartbeat of how I approach all my audio work. Whether I am capturing location audio for a documentary or mixing a podcast, I apply this same discipline—prioritizing depth, atmosphere, and sonic clarity over quick, flashy edits.

The core of this work was a deep-dive research project with the Open Invitation collective. We spent a year interacting with a landscape in Karnataka that is 2.5 billion years old. This wasn't about a quick trip to get audio; it was about understanding the 'sonic identity' of the place.

We utilized binaural recording techniques to capture 3D spatial audio, allowing listeners to feel as if they are standing right there on the rocks. This technical approach creates an immersive experience that traditional stereo recording often misses.

I bring this exact mindset to my professional services. When I am on your location, I am not just hitting 'record' to get dialogue. I am looking for the ambient noise that tells the story—the hum of the city, the stillness of a room, or the texture of the environment. My post-production process is equally deliberate, using noise reduction and spectral cleaning to ensure that the voice remains clear, while the background remains rich and evocative.

Whether you are producing an indie film that needs a specific sonic world, or a podcast that demands rhythmic, clean editing, I am here to help you slow down and find the sound that fits. Let’s create something that prioritizes the way it feels to listen.

Hi, I am Navya. I’m happiest when I’m out in the field with a boom pole or deep in an edit suite, playing with layers of sound. My work is about slowing down and really hearing the world around us, and I love collaborating with folks who care about the details.
