About Functional Fitness & Gymnastics
My training approach is hybrid. You get standard compound lifting to build raw power, but we move from the weight room to the gymnastics floor for acrobatics. This means you aren't just getting bigger, you are learning to move, balance, and control your own body weight.
When you train for functional fitness, you stop relying on machines to do the work for you. At Aerial Zone in Gottigere, we use the gym for heavy lifts like squats and deadlifts to build your foundation. Then, we use the gymnastics area—trampolines, foam pits, and mats—to challenge your agility and core stability.
This isn't for people looking for an easy route. If you want to master a handstand or learn to move with explosive power, you have to be willing to fail and try again. That is what I mean when I talk about 'gundige'. You need the guts to get off the treadmill and actually train like an athlete.
