About Commissioned Paintings
Why I Paint
Art is honestly my way of capturing those little moments that make life sweet. When you ask me for a commissioned painting, it’s not just about putting color on canvas - it’s about creating something that actually means something to you. I work in both oils and watercolors, switching depending on the vibe or the feeling you want to keep forever.
How We’ll Create Together
Every piece starts with your story. Maybe you want a portrait - we can do a live sitting (expect a few hours, chai breaks included), or I’ll work from a photo you love. If you’ve got a memory or a wild idea, just tell me and I’ll help bring it to life. For live portraits, I usually paint alla prima - finishing the main work in one go, then polishing it up in my studio.
Portraits, Places, and Memories
Portraits are special - I can paint you in full color, or try a Grisaille (monochrome) style. I also love bringing places to life, whether it’s your childhood home, a city from your travels, or a quiet landscape. If you want a painting from travel photos, just send them my way. I pay attention to the details that matter - even that old window with a story.
Materials I Trust
I use artist-grade oils and watercolors (mostly Gamblincolors and Daniel Smith) on linen, canvas, or thick watercolor paper. I want your custom watercolor artwork or oil portrait commission to last - so I never compromise on quality.

My Story
Hey, I’m Juhi. Artist, Delhi girl, and always chasing that perfect sketch. My studio’s my happy place, but honestly, nothing beats painting out in the city - especially with my Urbansketchers crew. Chandni Chowk, Varanasi ghats, old monuments… I’m always wandering, sketchbook in hand. History’s my thing, so you’ll find me lost in ancient corners. That calm at Bangla Sahib? Can’t explain it, just feels right. Art’s all about these small joys, na?
My Work
Original Artworks for You - I make oil paintings, watercolors, urban sketches, alla prima portraits, and figure studies. All originals, all for sale.
Oils and Watercolors - Switching between oil painting on linen and watercolor cityscapes keeps things interesting. I love both, tough as it is.
Painting from Life - I do live figure studies and urban sketching Delhi spots. Capturing real moments, real faces, real places.
Finding Inspiration - Old Delhi lanes, Varanasi ghats, Connaught Place – I’m always hunting for a story to paint.
