Art for me is a constant evolution. I spend as much time learning in workshops and displaying my work as I do painting in my studio. Here is a look at the techniques I study, the communities I paint with, and the exhibitions where my work finds a home.

Attending a two-day portrait workshop with the wonderful Pramod Kurlekar. Here I am receiving my certificate of participation. Learning in person is so much more enriching than online.

The certificate from the Palettes Pioneer India portrait painting workshop. It was a weekend full of learning and inspiration.

A fun group photo from a watercolor workshop and demo I conducted for the IIT Delhi Golden Jubilee celebration. I really enjoyed painting with this enthusiastic group.

Another happy group shot from the workshop at Lemon Tree resort in Manesar. Sharing the joy of painting is one of my favorite things to do.

A landscape painting from a workshop with watercolor master Joe Dowden. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn from such a talented artist during the IWS watercolor festival.

Another landscape study from a workshop, this time with the legendary David Taylor. I'm happy with these simple outcomes, as they push me out of my cityscape comfort zone.

My two watercolor works displayed at an exhibition at the Russian Centre in New Delhi. It was a wonderful opening, sharing the gallery space with talented Indian and Russian artists.

A closer look at my framed watercolor paintings on display at the gallery. One is a cityscape and the other is a winter landscape.

Visitors admiring the artworks at the "Russia, an Indian View II" exhibition. It's always a pleasure to see people engage with the art.

The exhibition poster listing all the participating artists. I was honored to be a part of this group show.

About Behind the Easel: My Process, Workshops, and Exhibitions

I treat every workshop as a masterclass in observation, whether I am learning from veterans like Pramod Kurlekar or leading a session at IIT Delhi. This commitment to ongoing learning informs every commission I undertake, from the way I prepare my 300 GSM watercolor paper to how I layer oils. When you see my work, you are seeing the result of years spent refining these technical skills through study and shared practice.
