Injury Recovery and Movement Rebuilding
Stop waiting for the pain to go away on its own. Our REBUILD program is built for athletes and everyday movers who want to restore function, fix imbalances, and train without fear.
Is it too late for my parents to start strength training? Our coaches discuss how strength training is crucial for adults over 40 to combat muscle loss, regulate hormones, and improve quality of life. It's never too late to start.
Our coach Millie, an ex-professional golfer, discusses the common muscular imbalances found in golfers and how unilateral training can be used to manage them, allowing athletes to continue playing their sport for longer.
About Injury Recovery & Rebuilding
Real recovery isn't just about resting until the pain stops. Whether it’s a nagging shoulder hike from golf or post-ACL knee stiffness, we use unilateral movements like single-leg or single-arm drills to even out your imbalances. You aren't here for generic exercises; we identify exactly which muscle is lagging and program specific activation work to fix the issue, not just mask the symptoms.
Your Roadmap to Rebuilding
At Knox, we don't believe in stopping because of an injury. We believe in adapting. Our REBUILD program is designed for everyone from weekend warriors to competitive athletes who are tired of playing the waiting game with their recovery.
The Approach
- Assessment-First: We start with a 60-minute consultation. We don't guess. We test your mobility restrictions and review your injury history before you ever touch a weight.
- Unilateral Focus: Imbalances are usually the root cause of recurring pain. We prioritize single-side work like single-arm rows, split squats, and unilateral carries to ensure your dominant side stops compensating for your weak side.
- Functional Scaling: Whether you are over 40, recovering from an ACL tear, or dealing with chronic back pain, we scale the load. You won't be doing heavy barbell squats on day one. You will be doing biomechanics work to build the stability that prevents future flare-ups.
Managing, Not Just Masking
If you play a sport that demands asymmetrical movement like golf or boxing, imbalances are part of the game. Our goal isn't to erase them completely, but to manage your symptoms so you can stay active for the long haul. Whether it's VMO strengthening for knees, shoulder mobility for overhead lifts, or simply getting back to running without pain, our coaches build the protocol around your specific anatomy.
