Basic Cutting & Tailoring Certificate (3-4 Months)
Core Practical Training
- Machine Mastery: Operation and maintenance of manual and motorized sewing machines, including bobbin winding and tension adjustment.
- Measurement & Drafting: Techniques for taking accurate body measurements and drafting patterns on brown paper before cutting fabric.
Garment Construction
- Blouse Making: Stitching lining blouses, belt blouses, and applying piping or necklines.
- Indian Wear: Drafting and stitching simple Kameez, Salwar, and Churidar.
- Kids Wear: Construction of basic A-line frocks and circular skirts.
Finishing & Essentials
- Hand Work: Hemming, hook/eye attachment, and creating fabric tassels (Latkans) from waste fabric.
- Alterations: Techniques for tightening, loosening, and basic repairs (Rafu).
- Class Logistics: Daily 2 hour practical sessions (Mon-Fri). Students provide their own fabric, scissors, and chalk.
Professional Diploma in Fashion Design (1 Year)
Advanced Design & Illustration
- Illustration: Sketching fashion figures (croquis), rendering fabric textures, and designing collections on paper.
- Textile Science: Understanding distinct fabric behaviors for Silk, Cotton, Georgette, and Velvet.
- Surface Ornamentation: Training in advanced embroidery, fabric painting, and tie-dye techniques.
Technical Construction
- Advanced Pattern Making: Dart manipulation and creating complex cuts for designer wear.
- Draping: Draping fabric directly on mannequins to create gowns and cowls.
- Heavy Garments: Stitching padded blouses, princess cuts, Lehengas, Anarkalis, and ruffled Western tops.
- Creative Projects: Construction of avant-garde dresses using non-traditional materials like LED lights or tissue paper.
Professional Exposure
- Fashion Show: Opportunity to design and stitch garments for the annual Khazani Fashion Fiesta or external lifestyle weeks.
- Portfolio Building: Creation of a physical file documenting sketches, swatches, and garment photos for job interviews.
- Certification: Award of a formal Diploma recognized by the vocational society.

What You Actually Learn
Our courses start at the basics but go deep:
- Fashion sketching and illustration course: You’ll learn to put your ideas on paper, from party wear to simple kurtas.
- Pattern making and cutting - yes, the technical stuff, but explained in a way that makes sense, even if you’ve never touched a measuring tape before.
- Garment construction skills workshop: You’ll create everything from designer blouses to kids’ frocks, using sewing machines right from day one.
- Embroidery, fabric painting, and handmade accessories - latkan banana bhi sikhayenge! (We’ll even teach you to make tassels!)
How We Teach
Classrooms here are more like workshops. Expect to get your hands dirty, draping on mannequins, experimenting with new materials, and getting feedback right away. Theory is minimum, doing is maximum.
Showcasing Your Work
If you stick with it, you could see your designs on a real runway at events like our Khazani Fashion Fiesta. That means real portfolio experience, not just classroom talk.
