Tactical Combat Training for Elite Units
Real-world survival isn't learned on a mat. It is forged under pressure. Discover the same tactical combat principles I use to train India's elite forces.
This video includes a clip of me training a commando in unarmed combat, followed by my explanation of what Kavach truly is: a mindset, a hope, and a motivation. The experience of training warriors shapes my entire philosophy.
This is my resume. I am a proud Indian, and my expertise lies in street fight self-defense, unarmed combat for special units, and weapon training. I have trained civilians, law enforcement, and military personnel across the country.
My instructor, Shashank, explains that our team trains Indian military forces, paramilitary forces, and law enforcement units in hand-to-hand combat and weapon disarm techniques. This experience gives us unparalleled credibility.
A shot of my back, wearing a "Close Combat Instructor" T-shirt for Military and Law Enforcement. The number one skill I teach is to never give up.
About this collection
When we train special units like the Ghatak Commandos or anti-terror squads, there are no belts, no point systems, and no referees. We focus entirely on brutal efficiency because, in their line of work, the margin for error is zero. We strip away the theory to teach you how to maintain situational awareness, control your fear, and neutralize threats using improvised, high-impact movements that work whether you are in combat gear or everyday office clothes.
The training methodology we use for elite military units is the same system we apply to our civilian programs. At KAVACH, we believe that if a technique is too complex for a high-stress, live-combat situation, it is useless.
Why Elite Tactical Training Matters
Elite units operate in environments where variables are constant and chaos is the norm. We train them in close-quarters combat (CQB), weapon disarming, and rapid threat neutralization. These aren't just 'moves'; they are tactical drills designed to bypass cognitive freeze. When you are under attack, you don't 'think'—you react based on muscle memory and the survival mindset we call 'soch'.
From Commandos to Civilians
We bring this same rigour to our civilian workshops. You learn to:
- Analyze threats: Understand the psychology of an attacker before the first punch is thrown.
- Control the environment: Use your surroundings—elevators, parking lots, and corridors—to your advantage.
- Improvise: Transform everyday objects like pens or ID cards into defensive tools.
This is not about winning a medal; it is about ensuring you return home safely. Whether you are a security professional looking to upgrade your tactical skills or an individual who wants to learn the gold standard of reality-based self-defense, our academy provides the platform to forge that warrior mindset. We teach you to be your own shield, stripping away the vulnerability that comes with relying on others for your safety.
Kavach Self Defense System
I am Varun Rawat, and I don't just teach self-defense; I build warriors. My team and I have spent years training elite units like the NSG and SPG in close-quarters combat, and we bring that exact same intensity to every workshop we lead. We are here to make sure you have the mindset to survive anything.
