About Family & Group Portraits
You do not need a perfect group photo for me to start. I regularly merge people from different pictures into one cohesive painting. Whether it is a family reunion snapshot or a mix of individual photos, I handle the lighting adjustments and composition to make it look like you were all together in that moment.
Creating a family portrait is about more than just painting faces; it is about capturing a moment that might not exist in one single photograph. My studio specializes in merging separate images. If your family lives apart or you never managed to get that one perfect group shot, I can compose everyone into a single canvas.
I typically use professional-grade acrylics on gallery-wrapped canvas for these pieces. This medium allows for vibrant, lasting colors that stand out in any room. Before I touch the brush to canvas, we finalize a sketch to ensure the composition feels right.
What to expect:
- Merging: I combine multiple reference photos, adjusting for light and height differences so the final result looks natural.
- Customization: You decide the vibe—vibrant and colorful, or something more classic and muted.
- Durability: Every portrait is finished with a clear gloss varnish to protect against dust and UV rays.
- Timeline: For large family groups, I usually need 10 to 14 days to ensure the details are sharp and the composition is balanced.
