Cord Memory Collection: Sculptural Couture
We weave history into fabric. This collection utilizes signature zari cords, knotted and stitched to create sculptural textures that anchor emotion in form.
Cords knotted into sculptural surfaces, resting against silken bases. This close-up of a corded jacket shows how memory translates into texture in this collection.

Cords trace themselves into memory. This image showcases a coordinated look from the collection, featuring an asymmetric corset sari for her and a tunic with linear embroidery for him.

Behind the seams, memory begins in the act of becoming. This video shows the design process, from digital sketching to the final form of a 'Cord Memory' piece.
The garment gathers its past, fringe by fringe. This video shows the unseen rituals of our artisans, whose steady labor shapes the 'Cord Memory' collection.
About The Cord Memory Collection
When you choose a piece from this collection, you are initiating a 30-45 day production cycle. Our atelier maps your exact measurements against our internal structural requirements, ensuring the zari cordwork aligns perfectly with your silhouette before our artisans begin the hand-stitching phase.
The Philosophy of Cord Memory
Our Cord Memory collection is an exploration of threads as vessels for history. We do not simply embroider; we map memories onto the surface of our garments using zari cords. Each knot and twist acts as a sculptural element, transforming soft satin and crepe into structured forms that hold their own shape.
Architectural Construction
The foundation of every piece in this collection is rigorous engineering. We utilize 10-14 bone corsetry to achieve waist-shaping and structural integrity. Whether you select a gown or a lehenga set, the internal support—featuring heavy-duty steel boning and padded cups—ensures the silhouette remains intact, regardless of the fabric's fluidity. We replace traditional, flimsy dupattas with architectural hoods and capes, grounding the look in modern authority rather than traditional flow.
The Atelier Process
Every garment passes through our Defence Colony studio in Delhi. The process begins with digital sketching, followed by the creation of a toile—a raw cotton mock-up used to refine the fit before we touch the final fabric. Our artisans spend 150-200 hours per piece, hand-placing linear glass beads and zari cords. This intensive manual labor is what gives our work its distinctive, heavy-set texture.
Practical Details for Your Event
- Lead Time: Production takes 30-45 days. We recommend initiating your consultation early to accommodate the multi-stage fitting process.
- Fitting: We require two sessions to ensure the corsetry aligns with your specific body proportions.
- Styling: Because these pieces rely on structure, we advise keeping accessories minimal to let the cordwork be the primary visual statement.
