About Statement Gowns & Lehengas
Behind the drape of every gown or lehenga, I build internal steel corsetry. Each piece uses 10 to 14 bones to ensure the silhouette maintains its sculptural form without needing bulky padding. You get a fit that moves with you, retaining its structure throughout your entire celebration.
My design philosophy, which I call 'Cord Memory,' treats thread and fabric as the keepers of your experiences. When you choose a piece from this collection, you are not just selecting a color or a cut; you are engaging with a process that demands 150 to 200 hours of labor per garment.
The Construction
Every gown and lehenga in this collection is engineered. We use heavy-duty YKK zippers, horsehair braid at the hems for volume, and structural fabrics like Italian Satin, Neoprene, and high-grade Tulle. This ensures that the architectural hoods, trails, and dramatic sleeves hold their shape exactly as intended.
Embroidery and Detail
We move away from traditional borders. My embroidery is placement-oriented, focusing on linear glass beads, 3D feathers, and signature zari cords. This creates a surface that feels like a map of knots and threads rather than a flat pattern.
The Fitting Process
Because these pieces rely on internal boning, fit is non-negotiable. Whether you are in Delhi or elsewhere, our process includes a toile fitting—a raw cotton mock-up of your garment—to ensure the corsetry is calibrated to your exact frame before we cut into the final fabric. We work in monochromatic palettes, using metallic or jewel tones to highlight the cutwork and the form, ensuring the final silhouette is bold and authoritative.
