Dance is more than just one genre. From Afro-commercial energy to contemporary storytelling, I love experimenting with different styles to keep things fresh. Let’s find your rhythm together.

I had the best time learning this jazz funk routine in class. It's a great example of a different style I enjoy, blending the technique of jazz with the energy of funk, including floorwork and splits.

The energy of a large dance event is unmatched. This clip shows me enjoying a commercial hip-hop routine in a workshop setting, surrounded by other passionate dancers.

This was the last class of a professional dance study program, and we all performed in a circle. It was a powerful moment of community and sharing our love for dance.

A moody, commercial-style duet performed against a dark backdrop. This piece, choreographed by a mentor, shows the power of synchronized movement and storytelling in a different genre.

This contemporary piece I learned in class was pure magic. It's a beautiful example of how movement can tell a story, focusing on emotion and fluidity.

Everyday is a party when you get to dance. This hip-hop class was all about high energy and having fun with the choreography and the people around you.

This Afro-commercial choreography has my heart. Learning this routine was an incredible experience, focusing on rhythm, energy, and powerful, grounded movements.

Allowing myself to be present in this Afro-commercial routine. This style is one of my favorites to explore, and I love the feeling of connecting with the music.

Can't stop dancing to this song. This dancehall class was so much fun, and the choreography was full of energy and good vibes.

Dancing with my friends to this amazing commercial choreography. This routine is all about hitting hard, feeling the heat of the music, and moving together as a group.

About Exploring Movement: Other Styles & Collabs

Switching between Afro-commercial and jazz funk takes more than just learning steps; it is about finding the right rhythm for every genre. In these sessions, I focus on body isolations and the distinct texture required for each style so you actually feel the music rather than just copying moves.

My journey in dance is incomplete without experimenting with new forms. While jazz is my foundation, I constantly look to push my boundaries through commercial, Afro, and contemporary dance.

Why step out of your comfort zone? Every dance style demands a different kind of energy. Afro-commercial routines are all about rhythm, grounded movement, and high-energy performance, while contemporary helps you tell a story with fluidity and emotion. In my workshops, we break down these styles, focusing on the techniques that make them unique.

What to expect in a workshop or collaboration session:

  • Technical Breakdown: We don't just learn a routine. We work on the core mechanics—like body isolations for Afro or expressive lines for contemporary—to give you a solid foundation in any style.
  • High Energy Environment: Whether we are training at Big Dance Centre or HotStep, these sessions are designed to be supportive. You will see me and my crew, The Evokers, experimenting, messing up, and laughing through the process.
  • Performance Quality: My goal isn't just accuracy; it is attitude. We work on performance, projection, and that main character energy that turns a simple routine into a piece of art.

Whether you are a beginner looking to try a new form or a dancer wanting to diversify your skill set, these sessions are meant to be a space where you can let go, be present, and just enjoy the movement.
