About this collection
In eyewear campaigns, the real technical challenge is managing reflections on the lens while highlighting frame details. I use specific studio lighting setups to control every specular highlight, ensuring the glasses remain the absolute hero of the frame. We focus on precise camera angles to ensure the design, texture, and shape of the eyewear pop, whether we are shooting a high-fashion lookbook or a commercial digital film.
My approach to eyewear photography goes beyond simple product shots. I treat every pair of frames as a key element of the subject's character. Whether I am collaborating with a legacy label like Wendell Rodricks or a modern brand like IDEE, the goal is to weave the product into a cohesive narrative.
The Technical Foundation
I shoot these campaigns using the Fujifilm GFX 100MP system. The medium format sensor allows for an incredible level of detail, which is essential when the frame design is intricate. We often work with tethered setups, allowing the brand team to review files in real-time, ensuring we hit the exact aesthetic required for print and hoarding-quality deliverables.
Creative Collaboration
Great fashion imagery is never a solo act. I bring in a trusted team of stylists, hair and makeup artists, and lighting assistants who understand the 'less is more' philosophy. We coordinate the wardrobe and set design to ensure they complement the eyewear rather than distract from it. For projects like the 'See Through' campaign, this meant creating high-contrast, minimalist environments that let the product’s identity speak for itself.
From Lookbooks to Films
Modern brand campaigns require more than static images. I produce integrated content, blending still photography with short, cinematic motion snippets. This ensures that the brand has a versatile asset library for social media, digital films, and traditional print advertising, all maintaining the same visual language and premium feel.
