Jewellery photography requires more than just focusing on the product. It needs to capture the emotion of the piece. Here is how I frame luxury to tell a deeper, more cinematic story.

An intimate and emotional portrait for a jewellery campaign. The soft focus and close embrace draw attention to the magnificent emerald and diamond necklace, making it a centerpiece of the story.

A composition that uses hands and movement to frame the jewellery. This shot highlights a stunning set of yellow diamond and emerald rings, a heart-shaped pendant, and a bracelet in a creative, artistic way.

A portrait that balances mystery and luxury. The model's hand partially obscures her face, drawing the eye to the incredible sapphire and diamond necklace and the large emerald ring.

A black and white digital film for the exclusive jeweller, Karshev. The moody, cinematic style creates an atmosphere of intimacy and luxury, focusing on the interplay of light, shadow, and emotion.

A piece from my "Sculptured Portraits" series, where the human form becomes a living sculpture. The focus is on the exquisite floral bracelet, which adds a touch of color and life to the painterly image.

Another "Sculptured Portrait" where the model's pose is designed to showcase the intricate, rose-like design of the bracelet. The image feels like a classical painting, blending fine art with jewellery photography.

A fine art concept from my "Sculptured Portraits" series. The model, posed in a milk bath, wears a stunning diamond collar, creating a surreal and ethereal image that blurs the line between photography and painting.

About High Jewellery & Luxury Campaigns

When I shoot high-end jewellery, I stop thinking of it as a product and start treating it as a character in the frame. The challenge is in the lighting. You need to control every reflection on the metal and stone to make the piece breathe, rather than just shine. It is about creating a mood that feels cinematic, where the jewellery feels like a part of the person wearing it, not just an accessory placed for a sale.
