Jamia se badi koi cheez nahi - nothing is bigger than Jamia for us. MAK Pataudi Sports Complex is where you find more than just games. We build character, pride, and passion. If you’re dreaming big, like becoming the next Virender Sehwag, we want you out there on our grounds.
What’s Here for You
Our maidaan is open to every Jamia student and staff member. Play for glory or just for fun, there’s space for all. Facilities include:
- Cricket ground (floodlit and tournament-ready), plus practice nets
- Football field, full-sized and grassy
- Basketball courts - both outdoor hard and indoor wooden
- Indoor stadium for Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess
- Volleyball court and athletics tracks
Coaching & Team Spirit
If you’re serious, we’re serious. Our campus sports coaching covers Cricket, Football, Basketball, and Volleyball, with coaches who push you hard. We train teams to play ek unit ki tarah (like one unit), focusing on teamwork, mental strength, and skill. Out here, we play to win, not just participate.
Everyone Gets Involved
Not a varsity athlete? Doesn’t matter. We run inter-faculty sports tournaments and hostel meets so you can jump in. The Jamia Premier League (JPL) is our annual T-20 for staff, all about fitness and bonding. Everyone gets their moment - come for the game, stay for the community.

My Story
We’re the MAK Pataudi Sports Complex, Jamia Millia Islamia ki shaan (Jamia’s pride). Legacy hai yahan – Sehwag, Shah Rukh, all started here. Kabhi ground pe pabandi thi, dil pe bhi. Ab sab theek hai, Jamia ki team apne ground pe hai. Coaches, Vice-Chancellor, sab ek team hain. Mission simple hai – talent ko nikalna, Jamia ka naam roshan karna. Viru paaji kehte hain, Jamia har jagah saath hai. Hum bhi wahi chahte hain. Alhamdulillah, ab results aa rahe hain.
My Work
All Sports Training & Coaching - Cricket, Football, Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Badminton, Shooting, Wrestling, Archery, Karate, Taekwondo, Weightlifting – sab hai.
University Cricket Coaching - We build strong university teams with regular practice and top coaches. Mr. Wasim Raja heads cricket.
Competitive Inter-Faculty Tournaments - Host events like Jamia Premier League and inter-school tournaments, keeping campus competitive.
Sports Quota Admissions Jamia - National, State, Regional players can apply under sports quota and grow both in academics and sports.
High Performance Athlete Training - We train players to be fearless. 'Go for kill' mentality – relax nahi karna, only winning mindset.
