Building a Legacy
At M.A.K. Pataudi Sports Complex, we operate on a simple principle: Jamia se badi koi cheez nahi (nothing is bigger than Jamia). Our leadership team—led by Honorary Director Prof. Nafis Ahmad and Deputy Director Dr. Mohammad Abid—works directly with coaches and students to ensure that every athlete, from a casual gym-goer to a varsity cricket player, has the support they need to succeed.

We don't believe in just participating. Our leadership instills a competitive culture where athletes play to win, not just to defeat others. This ethos is echoed by our distinguished alumni, including Virender Sehwag, who often reminds us that his journey started right here on our grounds. Sports at Jamia isn't restricted to elite athletes. Through initiatives like the Jamia Premier League (JPL) and inter-faculty tournaments, our leadership fosters a sense of brotherhood among staff and students. Whether it is improving the floodlit cricket ground or managing admissions under the sports quota, our mission remains the same: talent ko nikalna (to identify talent) and making sure every student gets their moment to shine.
