Featured Live Music Performances by Ananth Menon
From intimate acoustic sessions to high-energy rock tributes, these performances capture the range of my twenty-year journey in live music.
This is the heart of what I do. A clip from a performance on Kappa TV's Music Mojo, where we're deep in a rendition of the classic "Walking Blues." This is the kind of soulful, raw energy I bring to every show.
Here's a glimpse of the Ananth Menon Quartet live on stage, paying tribute to the one and only Eric Clapton. This is from our "Standing at the Crossroads" show, perfect for audiences who love classic rock and blues legends.
I'm stoked to share my own music with you. This is a quick, behind-the-scenes look with my bandmates as we prepped for the first-ever full set of my original material with The RubberBiscuit Project. It's all about that indie blues and rock sound.
Some of the most magical gigs are the simplest. Here I am with my good friend Vedanth Bharadwaj during our "Old Friends" tribute to Simon & Garfunkel. This is the vibe for a personal, acoustic duo show where every note and story connects.
This is from my 'Oorga' project, a unique trio where we blend Sufi poetry, Indian folk, and old-school blues. This clip features the incredible Bindhumalini Narayanswamy and Vedanth Bharadwaj, showcasing a truly genre-bending musical experience.
Sometimes you just need to rock out. This poster is for one of our tribute nights celebrating the swamp rock legends, Creedence Clearwater Revival. These shows are high-energy, full of classic hits, and always a great time.
A shot from a performance with my band, Southern Discomfort. This captures that moment when you're lost in the music on stage, whether it's an intimate club or a big festival. This is the live gig high I've been chasing for twenty years.
About Featured
I play everything from quiet, soulful acoustic sets for house parties to full-band classic rock tributes for larger crowds. My approach is simple: I handle the technical logistics for both, so you do not have to worry about the sound quality or the specific setup requirements for your venue.
My work splits into a few different directions, depending on the vibe you are going for. If you want something intimate, I play solo or duo acoustic sets, focusing on blues, folk, and storytelling—think Bob Dylan or Simon & Garfunkel. These work well in living rooms, breweries, or quiet event spaces.
If you need to get a crowd moving, The Ananth Menon Quartet covers classic rock and blues tributes, including the music of Eric Clapton, The Eagles, and CCR. For something entirely different, my 'Oorga' project blends Sufi poetry with Indian folk and delta blues, which is a genre-bending mix that always surprises audiences.
I also perform original material with The RubberBiscuit Project, where I play my own indie-blues songs. Whether it is a solo set or a full-band gig, I bring my own professional gear, including guitars, harmonica, and pedals. For larger shows with the quartet, we bring a dedicated sound engineer to manage the mix, but I will need to coordinate with you on your venue’s PA system requirements and stage monitors before the date. Let's chat about what fits your event best.

I have been chasing that live gig high for over twenty years now. Whether it is an acoustic session with just me and a guitar or a full-band electric set with my quartet, my goal is always the same: making that real connection with the people in the room.
