Saturday skills class is where we build the foundation for complex movements. This video shows five different drills we use to progress towards a handstand walk, from box assisted holds to partner wheelbarrows.
Rope climbing is a full body exercise that requires both strength and technique. I teach clients how to use their feet to create an efficient hook, which makes the climb smoother and saves energy.
Working on gymnastics skills like handstands not only builds incredible upper body and core strength but also improves balance and spatial awareness. Plus, it's always fun to push each other to get better.
To improve a skill like toes to bar, you have to master the basics. We work on core compression drills on the floor and hanging knee raises to build the foundational strength needed for the full movement.
You're never too experienced to go back to the basics. Here, we're focusing on strict pull up strength, including weighted variations, which directly translates to better performance in all other gymnastics movements.
This skill building session focused on developing the strength and coordination for handstand push ups and bar muscle ups. Every session is an opportunity to learn, grow, and get closer to your goals.
Our Saturday skills classes are a great time to focus on specific goals. This session covered drills for advanced skills like crossovers with a jump rope, muscle ups, and handstand push ups.
We practice skills even when fatigued to simulate competition conditions. This athlete is working on burpee bar muscle ups, a high skill, high intensity combination that builds serious work capacity.
