About Our Signature Productions
Our productions rely on black box theatre techniques, using professional booth setups and live, unrecorded voices to keep audiences engaged. We craft every character using hand-picked regional Indian textiles, turning traditional weaving into a visual language that connects the audience to the stage.
At Ishara, we do not just stage performances, we create experiences that bridge cultures. Every signature production is an original effort, born from our desire to make theatre that talks to the heart, whether the audience is five years old or fifty.
Our process begins with the script. We adapt classics like the Panchatantra or modern children's stories into shows like Be Yourself and Aisha’s Journey. The visual language is just as important as the dialogue. We source regional Indian textiles to create our puppets, meaning when you watch a show, you are also seeing the handiwork of Indian weavers on stage.
We offer two distinct production environments depending on your venue needs:
- Classic Booth Theatre: Ideal for school functions and birthdays. We bring our own 8ft x 6ft self-standing booth, complete with professional sound and lighting, so we can set up almost anywhere.
- Black Box Theatre: For high-end cultural events and auditoriums. This requires more space, including a raised bridge and specialized masking wings, but it allows for a sophisticated, immersive visual experience.
Since we believe in the power of live performance, you will never see pre-recorded tracks in our work. Our puppeteers perform live voices, allowing them to adapt the interaction, humor, and pace to the energy of the room on that specific day. Whether you need a short 45-minute show or a longer production for a festival, we adapt our staging and themes to fit your requirements across Delhi NCR.
