Youth Sports Development and Kids Coaching
I coach kids in badminton and football to build agility, coordination, and a love for the game. We focus on proper technique from day one, preparing them for competitive play in a supportive environment.
A typical "Little Champs" badminton session in action. We work on everything from basic racket grips to advanced net shots, ensuring each child gets the attention they need to improve.
Our youth program emphasizes all-around athletic development. These agility ladder drills are a fun way for kids to build the quick feet and coordination needed for badminton and football.
Speed and endurance training starts early. This junior athlete is performing high-intensity sprint intervals on the squash court to build stamina and on-court recovery skills.
Injury prevention is a core part of our youth coaching. We end every session with guided group stretching to ensure our young players' muscles recover properly and stay flexible.
About Youth Development ("Little Champs")
We keep our batch sizes tight so every child gets hands-on corrections on their racket grip or footwork, rather than just standing in line. My focus isn't just on making them move, but on teaching them the mechanics behind a movement so they can eventually handle match pressure on their own.
Building a Strong Foundation
Youth development is about long-term progress, not shortcuts. Whether it is badminton or football, the goal is to develop a child's confidence alongside their physical abilities. In our 'Little Champs' sessions, we use specific drills—like ladder work for foot speed or multi-shuttle feeding for badminton accuracy—to build a stable foundation that prevents bad habits later on.
Injury Prevention and Safety
Many kids start playing without learning how to warm up or cool down, which leads to early burnout or injury. Every session I lead includes dedicated time for stretching and mobility work. We teach young athletes to respect their bodies, ensuring they understand the importance of recovery and flexibility as part of their weekly routine.
Our Approach
- Technique First: We prioritize proper form before speed. If a child doesn't have the right grip or foot placement, we fix that first.
- Match Exposure: While drills are essential, real growth happens in games. We introduce competitive scenarios in a safe environment so kids learn to think on their feet.
- Mental Toughness: Sports are as mental as they are physical. We coach children to handle mistakes, stay focused, and bounce back, which helps them outside of sports as well.
Where We Train
We operate across Bengaluru, with active sessions at the Indian School of Sports in Bellandur, PLaY Arena in Kasavanahalli, and St. Peter's School in Kaikondrahalli. My coaches are SAI-certified, meaning they have the credentials to back up the instruction. If you are looking for a consistent, structured environment where your child can learn, play, and compete, this is the place.
