Mallakhamb Training for Kids: From Toddlers to Teens
We combine traditional Mallakhamb with dance and gymnastics, creating a high-energy environment where kids build strength, balance, and focus from age two onwards.
Our classes for toddlers are all about fun and exploration. This little one is learning to hold on and balance on the pole, a foundational skill for Mallakhamb that builds confidence and body awareness at a very early age.
Personal attention is key to safe learning. Here, an instructor carefully guides a young student through a basic balance drill. We use soft, stable props to help children understand the fundamentals of stability before they move to the pole.
As students grow, so do their skills. This image captures the impressive result of dedication, showing our teen students executing a synchronized three person pose. This showcases the strength, flexibility, and trust that develops in our advanced Mallakhamb program.
About Kids Mallakhamb: From Toddlers to Teens
Safety is our absolute priority, so we use professional-grade teak wood poles and 8-10 inch thick high-density crash mats for every session. Whether your child is just starting with basic grips or working on advanced acrobatics, our instructors are always right there spotting them to ensure every climb is secure.
How We Train Kids
Mallakhamb is much more than a sport. It is a fantastic way for children to improve core strength, grip, and body awareness. We start our youngest students, from age two, with playful exercises that build comfort on the pole. As they grow and gain confidence, we transition them into learning foundational mounts like the Nandi and balancing poses like Padmasana.
The Mallakhamb Dance Fusion
We do not just stick to the traditional, rigid forms. We mix Mallakhamb with dance and gymnastics elements to keep things expressive and fun. This keeps children engaged and allows them to explore movement beyond the standard curriculum. It is messy, creative, and a great workout.
Practical Details
- Small Batches: We keep groups between 10 to 15 students, ensuring every child gets turn-by-turn attention on the pole.
- Facility: Our studios in Gorai, Kandivali, Malad, and Thane are climate-controlled with wooden flooring.
- Skin Care: Friction is part of the game. We encourage using castor oil to protect the skin and prevent friction burns during climbs.
- Trial Sessions: If you are unsure, book a single drop-in session. It covers the basics of the Malla grip and lets your child get a feel for the studio environment before committing to a monthly batch.
