Visual Art & Creative Illusion Design
I do not use CGI or editing. I engineer physical moments of wonder that make you question what you just saw.
Creating a moment of levitation with a snowball in Kashmir. I believe magic can be found anywhere. My goal is to create visual art that feels organic and surprising, whether it's for a film or just for the fun of creating something beautiful.
An exploration of shadow and perception. In this piece, a simple object appears to defy gravity, all through the careful manipulation of light. This kind of conceptual magic is perfect for creating artistic and thought-provoking visuals.
This is a work in progress focused on achieving a state of impossible balance, or 'santulan', with borrowed matchsticks. It's one of the most technically difficult things I've created and shows my dedication to pushing the boundaries of my craft.
Using a phone's light to tell a story on a single playing card. This illusion explores the theme of light and darkness, showing how a simple change in perspective can transform everything. It’s a small, intimate piece of magic that carries a bigger message.
About Visual Art & Creative Illusions
My work here is about finding 'santulan' or balance, like that levitating matchstick piece you see in the gallery. It is not a digital effect; it is weeks of experimentation to make physics bend exactly how I want it to. If you are planning a film shoot or a live product reveal, I build physical prototypes for your team so you know exactly how the magic looks on screen before we ever step on set.
For me, magic is a practical challenge. Whether I am consulting on an ad film or designing a reveal for a live corporate event, I operate from the same philosophy: the audience should see something impossible, but it should be grounded in reality.
My Approach to Illusion Design
- Feasibility & Brainstorming: We start by looking at your script or venue constraints. I don't just say yes to every idea; I analyze if a practical, in-camera effect will achieve the impact you want.
- Proof of Concept: Before we commit to rigging or hiring, I build a rough demo. This saves time and ensures the camera angles and lighting work for the specific illusion.
- On-Set Supervision: Magic requires precision. I am present during the shoot or rehearsal to guide the performer on body language and work with the DOP to lock the camera angles that hide the secrets.
Real-World Applications
I have moved beyond just stage shows to support creative agencies and production houses across India. If you need a levitation shot for an HDFC Life ad or a mysterious reveal for a product launch, we can design the rig, test the weight, and ensure the safety of your talent. My focus is on creating visual art that feels organic and surprising, removing the need for post-production heavy lifting.
