Art That Appears Like Magic

Ever seen a portrait appear out of nowhere? Here, I mix art with science and a bit of jugaad (clever hacks) to create visuals that reveal themselves right before your eyes.

Science plus art equals a divine result. I used lemon juice as an invisible ink to draw Lord Ganesha. When heat is applied, his face magically appears.

A Navratri special where devotion meets simple science. I started with a lemon and a leaf, and ended with Maa Durga appearing from the invisible juice after being heated.

A prayer for Punjab, drawn with invisible lemon ink. The image of families affected by the floods is only revealed when heat is applied, making the message even more powerful.

I painted Lord Krishna with sugar syrup, which is invisible at first. A little heat makes the sweet portrait bloom into a beautiful brown sketch.

A simple milk packet and a leaf were my tools to create this invisible ink painting. With heat, a scene of baby Krishna stealing makhan is revealed.

A mix of sanitizer, turmeric, and baking soda creates a chemical reaction that reveals this artwork of Krishna holding a Jagannath mask.

Another lemon juice experiment. This time, the heat reveals a touching portrait of Yashoda holding baby Krishna. Pure love appearing from invisible lines.

Art, science, and fire come together to reveal the divine face of Krishna. It's amazing to watch the image appear from what looks like a blank page.

A portrait of Lord Krishna painted with lemon juice and revealed with the heat from an iron. It’s a reminder that sometimes, things are hidden until the right moment.

No paint, no brush. I created this image of Ganesha by scratching lines onto a plastic sheet with a knife. When placed over a black background, his divine presence emerges from the textures.

About Art That Appears Like Magic

These aren't just paintings you hang on a wall; they are experiences. Whether it’s a sketch using lemon juice that only appears under heat or pin-prick art that glows when backlit, each piece is designed to be a conversation starter. If you have a specific message or a loved one you want to surprise with something truly unique, let's talk about which technique fits your story best.

My process is rarely just about picking up a brush. I spend a lot of time in my corner experimenting with different mediums to see what happens when art meets the unexpected. Sometimes, it’s about chemistry—like using lemon or sugar syrup as invisible ink that only reveals itself when carefully heated. Other times, it’s about the patience of pin-prick art, where I manually pierce thousands of holes into paper to create an image that only comes to life when light passes through it from behind.

Why these techniques?

I started this journey because I wanted to show that art can be more than a static image. It can be a reveal, a surprise, or a prayer. These pieces work beautifully as:

  • Unique Personal Gifts: A surprise portrait that literally glows or appears when warmed.
  • Interactive Event Decor: Something that keeps your guests guessing.
  • Spiritual Expressions: Creating images of divine figures that stay hidden until the right moment.

Because these are highly technical and require specific conditions, I treat every commission as a new experiment. We start by discussing your idea—do you want something hidden, something backlit, or something that reacts to heat? Once we narrow down the concept, I work on creating the piece. Please note that these requests take a bit more planning than a standard portrait, so reach out early if you have a deadline.

I'm Parvesh. For me, art isn't just about what looks good—it's about the truth I find in the process. When I'm not doing portraits, I'm usually in my corner experimenting with light, fire, and hidden inks to see what magic I can make happen.
