About The Full Experience: Warm-ups & Cool-downs
I dedicate the first ten minutes of every class to dynamic warm-ups and the final five to deep, static stretching. This ensures your muscles are prepped before we start the high-intensity Bollywood or Latin cardio, and properly relaxed afterward to minimize soreness the next day.
Why we take warm-ups seriously
Too many people skip the warm-up, but that is a quick way to get injured. In my sessions at The Wellness Club in Krishna Nagar, we start with 10 minutes of active movement. We raise the heart rate gradually and get those joints ready for the big moves. It is not just about stretching, it is about waking up your muscles so they are ready to handle the beat of a fast Punjabi track.
Cool-downs: The post-workout glow
After 45 minutes of heavy sweating, your body needs a reset. I finish every class with 5 minutes of static stretching and breathing exercises. This is when we bring the heart rate down and release the tension in the muscles. It helps you avoid that stiff feeling you get the next morning, especially if you are new to dance fitness.
My approach to safety
Whether we are doing Afro, Salsa, or Bollywood fusion, the structure stays the same. I watch your form, correct your posture, and ensure you are moving in a way that protects your back and knees. This is a judgment-free zone. If you feel tired, you can slow down. My goal is to make sure you keep dancing for years, not just for a month. Whether you are a pro or just starting, I have got you covered.
