Behind the Art: My Mehendi Process & Practice
A glimpse into my sketchbook, my raw materials, and the discipline I practice daily to ensure your bridal henna is perfect.
This is me, Miloni, the face behind the henna. My passion is creating beautiful art and teaching others to do the same. Thank you for being a part of my journey.
Practice makes perfect. Here's a small sketch of Ganpati Bappa that I did on paper. I'm always drawing to refine my skills and come up with new ideas.
About Behind the Art
It is not just about applying henna. I spend hours on paper sketches, like the Ganpati motif you see here, to perfect my lines before they ever touch your skin. This discipline, combined with my signature 5-filtered natural mehendi powder, is what ensures you get that rich, deep stain you want for your big day.
For me, being a mehendi artist is not just a job. It is a constant practice of focus and respect for the tradition. When I am not working on a bridal hand, you will find me with my sketchbook in Borivali or Nashik, refining motifs like elephants, peacocks, or religious calligraphy.
Why the process matters
Clients often ask me why I am so particular about the paste I use. The answer is simple: quality is non-negotiable. I use a 5-filtered natural powder because standard, low-grade henna simply cannot give the dark, long-lasting stain a bride deserves. I never use leftover paste. When you book me, you are getting fresh, organic henna that is mixed specifically for your event.
Teaching the craft
My studio is where I pass this knowledge on. I see so many talented people who just lack the right guidance on cone control or shading techniques. Whether you are a beginner picking up a cone for the first time or an artist looking to refine your bridal portraits, I teach practical, hands-on skills that I use in my own professional work.
My 60-day certification program covers everything from basic lines to the complex 3D reverse shading you see in my gallery. If you want to understand the science behind the stain or learn how to draw intricate bridal figures, we will cover it all. You are not just learning a design; you are learning how to build a career, handle clients, and manage pricing just like I do.
