I transform everyday shirts, sarees, and kurtis into one-of-a-kind art pieces. From traditional Kathakali motifs on silk to upcycling your favorite old clothes, I paint your story directly onto the fabric.

A set of custom hand-painted Kathakali shirts for a family, from grandfather to grandson. This traditional Keralan art form, with its dramatic masks and makeup, makes for a stunning and culturally rich design on fabric.

From the initial painting on an embroidery hoop to the finished shirt, this video shows the creation of a custom Kathakali shirt. This piece of wearable art is now on its way to a client in the US.

This video shows the process of painting a playful crawling Baby Krishna onto a dark green silk shirt. I use an embroidery hoop to keep the fabric taut, allowing for precise and detailed brushwork.

Give your wardrobe a creative makeover. Here, I've hand-painted vibrant kingfisher birds onto a plain white shirt, turning it into a unique piece of art. I love upcycling old clothes or customizing new ones to match your style.

About Wearable Art: Hand-Painted Apparel

When I paint on fabric, I use specialized acrylics that are heat-set at high temperatures to ensure the design stays vibrant and colorfast. Whether it is a cotton shirt or a silk kurti, you do not have to worry about the art fading. It is made to be worn and washed just like your regular clothes.

Your Wardrobe, My Canvas

I believe your clothes should tell a story. I do not mass-produce designs; I sit down with you to understand the vibe you want. Maybe you have a vision of a Kathakali mask on a crisp shirt, or perhaps you want a playful baby Krishna on a silk top. We discuss the motifs, the placement, and the color palette before I pick up a brush.

Upcycling Your Favorites

Do you have a dress that feels dull or an old shirt you cannot bear to throw away? Let's bring it back to life. I specialize in upcycling projects where I add fresh patterns, modern florals, or traditional folk art to refresh your existing wardrobe. It is a sustainable way to own a piece that no one else has.

Care Instructions

Because I use high-quality fabric acrylics, your piece is quite durable. To keep the painting looking fresh for years:

  • Turn the garment inside out before washing.
  • Use a mild detergent in cool water.
  • Always iron on the reverse side (the side without the paint) or use a thin cloth as a barrier between the iron and the art.
