Hand-Painted Kurtis and Dupattas
Transform your plain ethnic wear into unique, hand-painted art. Perfect for weddings, festivals, or adding a personal touch to your everyday wardrobe.
This video showcases a hand-painted dupatta with a bright and cheerful sunflower design. I use high-quality fabric paints to ensure the colors are vibrant and the fabric remains soft and wearable.
Here you can see how the sunflower dupatta drapes and flows when worn. It's a perfect accessory for a Haldi ceremony or any summer event, adding a splash of color to a simple outfit.
I painted a beautiful portrait of a traditional Indian woman on this white kurti, complete with embellished details for the jewelry. This piece combines painting and craft to create a unique ethnic garment.

A closer look at the artwork on the yellow kurti. The design is strategically placed to create a unique and artistic statement, making it more than just a piece of clothing.
This yellow tunic features a minimalist, abstract face painted along the button placket. It's a stylish and subtle way to wear hand-painted fashion.
A fun and trendy kurti in a vibrant green, featuring a modern, abstract portrait. Each kurti I paint is a unique piece, designed to be both fashionable and a conversation starter.
About this collection
You bring the garment, I bring the art. I paint on cotton, silk, and georgette using professional fabric acrylics that move with the cloth, so you never get that stiff, painted-on feel. Whether you want a vibrant sunflower print for a Haldi or a detailed, hand-drawn portrait, every design is heat-set and safe for gentle hand-washing.
When I paint on fabric, my priority is keeping the drape natural. I do not use heavy, rubbery paints. Instead, I blend acrylics with a fabric medium to ensure the paint actually absorbs into the fibers. This creates a finish that is soft to the touch and moves naturally when you walk.
For ethnic wear, I generally follow two distinct styles:
-
Watercolor Blending: This is my go-to for florals, sunflowers, and soft organic patterns. It creates a gentle, ethereal look that works beautifully on chiffon and georgette dupattas for weddings or summer events.
-
Opaque/Pop Art: If you are looking for something striking, like a portrait on a kurti, I use heavier opaque layers for crisp lines and vivid color, perfect for making a statement at a festival or party.
I work with clients from across India. If you have a specific outfit you want to elevate, send me a photo of the fabric type and your design idea. I can tell you right away which painting style will work best for your material. I also handle bulk orders for wedding trousseaus or bridal parties, so feel free to reach out if you need a matching set for a group.
Durability is non-negotiable for me. Every piece I paint is heat-set to ensure the pigment bonds permanently to the fibers. You can safely hand-wash these items in cold water, and the colors will stay vibrant. Just treat them like the delicate, wearable art pieces they are.
