My original artwork, from divine canvases to detailed pencil sketches, is all about capturing stories on paper. Whether you want a custom portrait or a piece that speaks to your soul, I create it with the love I bring to my studio classes.

The creation of a Krishna painting, from the initial grid sketch to the final acrylic artwork. This piece captures the divine love and wisdom of Lord Krishna against a serene background with cows and a full moon.

A pencil sketch tribute to Michelangelo's David. I used a hatching technique to capture the intense expression and sculptural quality of this iconic masterpiece.

I'm so proud of my senior student and her passion for art. This video shows her working on a beautiful Krishna painting in my class, demonstrating that creativity has no age limit.

A canvas of devotion. This video shows my Siddhivinayak Ganesha painting, created during the Ganesh festival, displayed in a modern home setting. It's a vibrant piece that brings divine energy to any space.

A color pencil portrait of India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. I enjoy capturing the likeness of well-known personalities through my artwork. You can commission a portrait or join my classes to learn.

A realistic pencil sketch capturing the deep lines and expressive eyes of an elderly person. The caption reads, "We are not Senior Citizens, we are recycled Teenagers." Join my art classes to learn realistic sketching.

This oil painting of nine koi fish was a custom request from a client. In Japanese culture, koi symbolize luck and prosperity, and the single black fish is believed to absorb negative energy.

My tribute to Lord Shiva during Mahashivratri. This acrylic painting depicts the magnificent 52-foot Shiva statue from the Azhimala Temple in Kerala, capturing the powerful and serene presence of the deity.

An oil portrait of spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. This video shows the painting process, from adding color to the final serene portrait.

This video connects my large oil painting of Ganesha with a student's handmade Ganesha idol from my workshop. It shows how the symbolism of Ganesha inspires art in various forms.

About Canvas Paintings & Sketches

When you commission a painting or portrait, I don't just pick up a brush. We start with a conversation about what you want to feel when you look at the piece. If it's a portrait of a loved one or a pet, please share a clear photo, and we will discuss the medium—oil for rich depth or pencil for raw, honest expression—before I start the sketch or grid work.

How We Work Together

Every custom order is a conversation. Whether you are looking for a spiritual piece for your home or a portrait to gift a loved one, I prefer to understand the 'why' behind your request.

  • Conceptualizing: We start by discussing the size, subject, and the emotion you want to capture.
  • Medium Selection: I work with oil, acrylic, and graphite. Oils are great for that slow-drying, blended richness (ideal for landscapes or traditional portraits), while graphite allows for sharp, expressive detail in sketches.
  • Updates: For larger canvas projects, I like to keep you in the loop with the initial sketch or underpainting, so we are aligned before I commit to the final layers.

My Approach to Subjects

  • Portraits & Pets: I look for the character in the eyes. Whether it is a pencil sketch on toned grey paper or a full-color painting, my goal is to catch that specific spark that makes the person—or pet—yours.
  • Spiritual Art: My Krishna and Ganesha pieces are often inspired by traditional iconography but executed with my own fluid, painterly style. These are requests I often get from students and clients who want a handmade piece to bless their living rooms.
  • Still Life: Sometimes, the most peaceful art is found in the stillness of fruit or flowers. These are studies of light and shadow, which is why I often teach these techniques in my classes as well.

Practical Details

I operate out of my studio in Prabhadevi. While I love the focus of painting, I balance this with my teaching schedule. If you have a deadline for a gift or a specific event, please reach out at least three weeks in advance so I can give your piece the time it deserves.
