My Favorite Mehandi Art: Stories Etched in Henna
Welcome to my curated collection. These designs are where I’ve woven real-life stories into henna—from engagement proposals to family milestones and divine portraits.
My heart melted creating this piece. I transformed a cherished family photograph into a permanent memory etched in henna, capturing the love between parents and their children. This is what my art is all about: telling your unique story.
This design tells a love story in two parts: "He Asked" and "I Said Yes." I love creating these narrative pieces for engagements, complete with couple portraits, love birds, and the special date, making the moment unforgettable.
For Raksha Bandhan, I created this special design celebrating the beautiful bond between siblings. It features portraits of a brother and sister sharing a sweet moment and playing on a swing, surrounded by traditional patterns.
Capturing divinity in henna is a spiritual experience for me. This design features the divine couples, Shiv Parvati and Radhe Krishna, portraying their eternal love. It’s a piece that brings blessings and beauty to your hands.
Baby showers are one of my favorite events to design for. This piece is filled with adorable details like tiny baby clothes, footprints, a stroller, and portraits of the happy 'Mom to Be' and 'Dad to Be'.
For the bride who loves classic elegance, I created this full-hand design filled with intricate details. It combines traditional jaali work, lotus motifs, and auspicious symbols for a truly timeless bridal look.
Sometimes, less is more. This minimalist back-hand design is perfect for any party or casual celebration. It features a single, elegant paisley motif with delicate finger details, proving that simplicity can be stunning.
Grooms deserve to celebrate too. This engagement mehndi for the groom features his and his partner's initials, the wedding date, and a band of lotus motifs, creating a stylish and meaningful design.
The final stain is the true test of quality henna, and I take great pride in the rich, dark color my natural paste achieves. This is the result of pure ingredients and proper aftercare, a deep maroon that makes the design pop.
Inspired by the wild, this jungle-themed design is for the bride with a nature-loving soul. I've woven in graceful swans, gentle deer, majestic elephants, and proud peacocks to create a story of the forest on her arms.
About Featured
This gallery is a collection of the stories I’ve had the honor of etching into henna over the last 15 years. Every piece here, from engagement portraits and family milestones to spiritual symbols, was created to reflect a specific moment in my clients’ lives. These aren't just patterns; they are memories drawn with natural henna, meant to last as long as the celebration itself.
I believe Mehandi should be a reflection of who you are, not just a set design pulled from a book. My approach centers on personalization—whether that’s hiding a wedding date in a floral vine, sketching a couple’s proposal story on their palms, or incorporating specific motifs like wine glasses or pet portraits.
Why these designs work
This collection showcases my range as a Mumbai-based artist. You’ll see the intricate density required for traditional bridal work, the clean lines of minimalist Arabic styles, and the deep, rich stain that comes from my natural, essential-oil-mixed henna paste.
Customization is key
If you see a style you love here, we can adapt it to your specific occasion.
- For Engagements: We can focus on the 'He Asked/I Said Yes' narrative.
- For Baby Showers: We can incorporate 'Mom-to-be' symbols or stroller motifs.
- For Festivals: I can add unique elements like specific deities or seasonal motifs that match the vibe of your celebration.
I travel across India to work with brides and families. If you have a story you want to see on your hands, let’s talk about how to bring it to life.
