About Royal Bridal Portraits
Getting a portrait-style mehndi is a major commitment of time and trust, usually taking 5 to 6 hours to execute properly. It is not just about drawing a face, it is about capturing the exact emotion of your relationship, like the look you exchange or the memory of your proposal, and balancing that with the surrounding Bharwa style filling. Because of the level of detail involved, I work closely with you beforehand to select the reference photos that translate best into henna so the final result feels personal and accurate.
Why choose portraits? They transform your hands into a narrative of your love story. I do not just copy pictures, I translate the emotion. Whether it is the groom's expression in a baraat scene or a quiet moment from your first date, I layout these elements so they flow naturally with traditional Indian motifs like lotuses and peacocks.
The Process
I use my own triple-sifted Sojat henna mixed with natural oils, ensuring a deep maroon stain that lasts. For portrait packages, we start with a pre-service consultation. You send me photos of the outfits, the venue, and the pose you want. I sketch it out mentally, ensuring the portraits are framed perfectly by intricate jaali work so they do not look crowded.
Practical Details
This service is part of my Signature Storytelling & Portrait Bridal package (starting at ₹14,500). It is not a quick session, it is a marathon of patience and precision. We block out 5 to 6 hours for this, and I usually have a dedicated space to work where you can relax while I layer the details. If you have a specific skyline in mind, or a special memory—maybe even a pet or a hobby you share—bring it up. My cones are always ready for a new story. I travel across Mumbai and beyond for destination weddings, so distance is not a barrier to capturing your fairytale.
